High Tide for Freshly Made Sketches

Hello!

I'm back again with another card that uses the High Tide Stamp Set.  This awesome set can be found in the Occasions Catalog.  My sketch for this card is by Cindy over at Freshly Made Sketches.

Here's my card:

Here's the sketch that was my inspiration:

Here's the details:

  • I chose Sahara Sand for my card base and the sentiment tag.  The sentiment is stamped in Tip Top Taupe and embossed with clear embossing powder.
  • The Marina Mist Cardstock is embossed using the Seaside Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
  • The Whisper White piece is stamped with the "water" stamp in the High Tide Stamp Set using Marina Mist ink.  I then used the "sand" stamp from the set with Sahara Sand ink.  The "grass" is stamped in Old Olive.  I used Dimensionals to adhere the piece to the Marina Mist background.
  • The lighthouse image is stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  I stamped off once before I stamped my cardstock.  I love the dimension the 2 step stamps give the lighthouse!  I fussy cut the lighthouse and glued it to my Whisper White piece.
I hope you're having a "High Tide" kind of day!

Happy stampin',
Robin

HIgh Tide for Can You Case It?

Hello!

I have been playing with my High Tide Stamp Set today.  This fantastic set is found in the Occasions Catalog.  I looked for a challenge to play and decided on this week's Can You Case It Challenge.  The challenge is a color one.

Here's my card:

And here's the challenge colors from Can You Case it?

Here are the details:

  • I didn't have any silver ink so I chose Smoky Slate for the bottom of my image.  I masked the top parts of the card and sponged in color.  I went over the sponging with the "sand" stamp from the High Tide Stamp Set.
  • For the center of the card, I sponged Soft Sky.  For more dimension, I stamped over it with the "water" stamp in Marina Mist.
  • The top portion of the card was sponged with Wisteria Wonder.
  • The Lighthouse and the birds are stamped in Basic Gray. I fussy cut the lighthouse and adhered it with Dimensionals.
  • The sentiment was stamped with Whisper White Craft Ink and then embossed with white embossing powder.
This card takes me to my favorite happy place even in January!

Happy stampin'
Robin

Inking Royalty January Blog Hop

Welcome to InKing Royalty's January Blog Hop - our first hop of 2017!  Today's hop is filled with inspiring projects that feature each artist's take on "Love is in the Air".  This is the best time of year to start planning your Valentine's Day projects.  There are amazing, new products in Stampin' Up!'s Occasions Catalog - and NOW is the best time to get them.  We are excited to share our projects with you and hope they inspire you!  After you read my post, I hope you'll hop over to the next person on the list at the base of this post.

I had so much fun creating my card for this hop!  The "So In Love Bundle" makes cardmaking so easy!  Here's my card:

Here's the scoop:

  • I chose to pair the bundle with the beautiful Falling In Love Designer Series Paper.  I chose to keep my card simple so that the gorgeous DSP didn't get too covered up.  This particular piece has Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride, and Very Vanilla colors in it.
  • I used Sahara Sand Cardstock for my die cut.  I saved some of the tiny cut out hearts for embellishments
  • I finished off my card with silver ribbon from the 3/8" Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack.

This card makes a beautiful statement but is super simple to make.  Wouldn't you agree?

Thank you for stopping by today.  I hope you'll hop along to the next stop on the blog hop, Lisa Pretto at Ink Big Academy Stamps.  There's lots of inspiration to be found in this group - and you don't want to miss it!
